Nylon 6/6 Flat Washer, ANSI, #8, 0.188" ID, 0.625" OD, 0.062" Thick (Pack of 100) Feature

  • Flat Washers are an economical choice
  • Nylon 6/6 is suitable where non-conductivity, corrosion resistance, and cost are important considerations
  • Size Name corresponds to matching screw or bolt size
Standard flat washers are an economical choice when your application calls for spacers, shims, or re-enforcements with nominal dimensions only.

Nylon 6/6 is a general purpose thermoplastic with outstanding resistance to organic chemicals, acids and alkalis. Nylon wears well against other surfaces; it is readily machinable and may be milled, turned and cut with conventional machine tools. It does exhibit some dimensional swelling in wet applications which should be taken into account with its use. Tensile strength of this material is 12,000 psi (pounds per square inch).

Beveled FW Flat Washer, 18-8 Stainless Steel, Round Shape, USA Made, 1/4" Bolt Size, 0.281" ID, 0.625" OD, 0.125" Thick (Pack of 5) Feature

  • Beveled Flat Washers are machined on Lathes, and feature a large bevel or chamfer on the top side
  • The top bevel allows easier installation in tight spaces, and the part looks like a design feature of any product it is used on
  • 18-8 Stainless Steel has a nice surface finish and is the most commonly used corrosion resistant material used
  • Chemical, Marine, outdoor, power transmission are a few industries where these parts are used
  • Made In USA for excellent quality conformance
Beveled Flat Washers (also known as "Williams Washers") are turned from solid bar, and feature a large bevel or chamfer on the top outside edge. Originally manufactured for the dual purpose of protecting assemblers from the sharp edges that are possible with a stamped washer, and also to allow them to orient the washer quickly, these washers have gained popularity for other purposes. Used in construction and architectural applications as an interesting visual part of the design, they offer the strength that is provided by their thickness. A small inner diameter provides a tight fit to bolts, rods, and studs, and eliminates most shifting and vibration of the washer. General industrial, marine, power transmission, and agricultural uses are popular.

Manufactured on Lathes from Type 303 Stainless Steel bar, this washer is 100% USA made. Available from #10 through 1-1/4" Bolt Size.

Component Flat Washer, 18-8 Stainless Steel, Round Shape, USA Made, 1/4" Bolt Size, 0.281" ID, 0.625" OD, 0.188" Thick (Pack of 5) Feature

  • Component Flat Washers are manufactured with thicker materials for extra strength and load distribution properties
  • A stamped flatwasher originally used in the tool and die industry, and now used for its' extra thick design which has superior load distribution properties
  • 18-8 Stainless Steel has a nice surface finish and is the most commonly used corrosion resistant material used
  • Used for general MRO and industrial applications - excellent for marine environments
  • Made In USA for excellent quality conformance
Component Flat Washers are named for their original popularity as a component of a jig or fixture, where a thicker washer was needed for the extra strength and load distribution properties that accompany the extra thickness. Our Component Washers are available from #4 screw size all the way thru 1-1/2" Bolt sizes. All Component Washers are thicker than any standard washer in general use. We provide two lines from stock - Thick and Extra Thick. Smaller diameters have a 5/64" thickness, going all the way up to 3/8" thickness, with the 1/8" thick line being the most popular. These washers are either stamped on power presses or turned on our lathes depending on the quantities we manufacture, and the wall thickness of the washer, which is the relationship between the thickness and the Inner Diameter dimension. All of these are suitable for use anywhere extra strength is needed. 18-8 Stainless Steel material offers excellent corrosion resistance, are harder than Brass, exhibit a slight magnetism, and are an attractive silver color.

Made in the USA. These flat washers are produced in the USA for excellent quality conformance. One of the significant differences between less expensive imported products and ours are the way we stamp. Many cheap imports are produced on gang dies that produce 10 or more washers per stroke of the press. Using such a large die means that the individual washer sets are not adjustable - when the punch wears, the dimensions change and there is no way to fix this as the press produces washers, leading to a large variation in the finished part.

Materials available in many other countries are not as consistent as the domestic steels we use, which gives the imports a cheaper cost, but can lead to failures and inconsistencies when the products are used. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) was created to address this problem. Our materials are DFARS compliant although we do not supply the certification except on special order.
